School Scholarship Information – Cedar Crest High School Counseling Department

There are several college-specific scholarships for highly qualified students. QuestBridge National College Match provides full ride scholarships at more than 55 colleges (including PA schools such as Haverford, Swarthmore, and UPenn) for high achieving, low-income students.

The Stamps Scholarship may provide either full tuition or a full ride scholarship at 37 partner colleges and universities (including Elizabethtown College and Pitt).

The National Merit Scholarships are based on academic excellence. Most provide at least $2,500, but a handful of participating colleges offer a full-ride. Student must first qualify by taking the PSAT/NMSQT exam as a high school junior.

Scholarships, offered by a particular college, can be found on each school website’s Financial Aid/Tuition tab. Some schools automatically bestow scholarships based on your application to gain entrance or your completion of FAFSA, while others require a separate application or an interview. Closely check your school of interest’s scholarship “set-up.” As always, be mindful of due dates and expectations. The PA schools listed below offer generous merit scholarships.
